Animal Farm Prologue

Animal Farm Written Prologue
Born of the same species, they lived, boasting brains and ingenious ideas.
When the time came, they led their fellows to war and succeeded.
Lead they did, prosperity came and went, turmoil appeared though it was not meant.
They built and fed, unlike before, happiness blooming, like a lion's roar.
But one day one stepped down, and the other rose. Oblivious to the danger, the other did pose.
Animal equality was claimed, though poorly shown, it seemed that the happiness was from pigs alone.
A scandal, a conspiracy, terror happened, the one that stepped down, came back with a retinue hereafter renown
His reign was of terror, to what lengths did he go, to hide his tremor?
Turning back on his word, mixing with the enemy, killing a fellow and wearing garments of felony.
A saboteur of his own, he secretly destroyed the work that his fellows destroyed themselves by completing.
Then pretense was lost, the pigs showed their colors and became the new humans, in all except looks
More pretense was lost, the animals became slaves, in all with no exceptions.
The pigs and the humans became short-lived friends, united and disbanded under that one leader.
He led them to victory, he did. He led them to destruction, he did. He, Napoleon, did.

Verona - Not a Place for the Montagues and Capulets

Picture_4.pngVERONA, Italy - Another brawl between the two rival houses, the Montagues and the Capulets, broke out on Wednesday evening, but was fortunately stopped by Prince Escalus. There could have been deaths and injuries if Prince Escalus did not arrive at the right time and stopped them, the police said on Thursday.

The fight, which lasted less then 30 minutes, happened as two servingmen of the Capulet family - Sampson and Gregory insulted the two servingmen of the Montague family - Abraham and Balthasar. At first, they insulted and offended each other in words, but soon grew in to a big fight.

It was reported that Benvolio had entered the quarrel and fought sword to sword with another servingman of the Capulets, Tybalt. As the two fought, the others also fought each other. When the fight grew into a big battle, the news reached the leaders of the two houses - Capulet and Montague - and they promptly made themselves to the scene. They tried to fight each other, but was luckily stopped by their wives.

Finally, Prince Escalus had arrived and brought the fight to an end as he strongly declared, in concern for Verona's safety, "if ever you disturb our streets again, your lives shall pay the forfeit of the peace. Once more, on pain of death, all men depart." Their lives would be taken away if another fight breaks out between the Montagues and Capulets on the streets of Verona. He further stated to the public, "If this ban won't stop, I'm afraid the streets of Verona would not be as safe as it was before. It is crucial that the two houses reconcile."
